If you love Sushi then this is the restaurant for Sushi! Try the "Big Nasty" at Sakura in Florence, SC! You will "thank me"! Best Sushi ever!
Wasn't sure if I wanted to eat here at first glance. Not gonna lie, it doesn't look like much on the outside & the inside isn't the best either, but it was decently clean. There were a few patrons inside, so we decided to go ahead & give it a shot. We placed our orders & were promptly given onion soup. We ordered a sushi appetizer to share & it came within 10 minutes. I didn't get a great pic because my boys jumped into it almost immediately, but the sushi was freshly prepared & delicious. We all ordered hibachi dishes of some variety. Mine included ribeye & shrimp. The ribeye was cooked perfectly. The shrimp was a tad overdone, but still enjoyable. The rice & veggies were well seasoned. My husband's included tuna & scallops. The tuna was a bit dry, he would've preferred it to be a bit rarer. The scallops were seared perfectly. One of my son's had salmon. This, I highly recommend. The seasoning & cook of the salmon was beyond belief. The flavor was so good. I'm actually glad we stopped by & gave it a chance. I will try some of the other menu items later, as the menu was massive! I still recommend that anyone stop by and give this place a chance. Looks can be deceiving.
Today, my taste buds were treated to such superb sushi! I'm a newbie when I comes to sushi, & the young lady who took my 2Go order was so patient with me. Exactly what I wanted-I received and I couldn't be more pleased! In the most famous words of Arnold...? 'I'll be back!'
Had the Hawaiian roll, miso soup, and edamame- all were fantastic! Wish the miso soup had tofu in it but it was still very good. Friend had big nasty roll, which was hot and delicious, and the shrimp bowl, which I didn't taste but was told it was tasty. Service was great!
